I'm a big fan of Jared Diamond now, author of Guns, Germs, and Steel and Collapse.
This book was published in 1991, before the two above books, on which much of his reputation rests.
It wasn't as good as his other books. The second half of the book was almost a prelude to Guns, Germs and Steel and Collapse.
The first half deals with human traits and how similar we are to animals.
It's a very interesting book nonetheless, although when compared to his other two famous books, not up to that standard.
